Class Description - Music - Music Adventures (ages 4 & 5)

Clapping, singing and piano playing, this class is perfect for your favorite little musician! Your child will learn the basics of piano playing while developing an early love of all music.

This is the perfect class for the early elementary school child who loves to make music. Musicians attend class for 40 minutes per week. The “Music Adventures” class follows the public school cut off and is appropriate for children in 4 year old pre-school to kindergarten in the fall. The basic foundation of piano playing is taught using kid friendly imagery, games and songs. Note identification, hand placement, rhythms and ear training will be taught as well as basic piano songs.

Each class will be limited to 5 students, allowing for more one to one teacher/student learning. Each student will have use of a piano/keyboard for the piano playing section of class. Although a piano or keyboard at home is helpful, it is not necessary for our Music Adventures class. Young students love learning together. Group lessons for this age group guarantees a fun filled learning environment when compared to traditional private piano lessons.

At Dance & Music Design School, our teachers understand the unique challenges of teaching young children. While our classes are imaginative and creative, each class will lay the foundation for more complex piano and instrument training in years to come.
